2016-2018 Parliament Edit
The President during the 2016-2020 Parliament was Social Democratic Party leader Samuel Rutherford. He won a resounding endorsement from the population, winning 54 Electoral Votes.
The Senate was not such a success however, with the Social Democrats falling short of the seven Senators required for a majority in the house.
The Social Democrats did win control of the House of Representatives, taking 34 out of the 33 required for a majority.
The Parliament was cut short by the election called in 2018 by President Rutherford.
